Who Are The Saints?
- The saints are the people who live a life of righteousness and holiness, in spirit and in truth.
- The bible defines the saints as Christians who keep the laws of Moses.
17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman (the church), and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring (the saints), who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 12:17
12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Revelation 14:12
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments , that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:14
Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, 2 saying: "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses ' seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.
Matthew 23:4
The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses ' seat by teaching the laws of God, which are the commandments, statutes and precepts, but they do not keep the laws in righteousness.
27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
Luke 24:27
Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me." 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
Luke 24:44-45
Why Many Saints Ordained By The Church Are Not Saints
- The conditions for making saints are not recognized in heaven.
- The religious leaders are not spiritually awake, enlightened and experienced.
- Many of the religious leaders are not saints. Therefore, they are not qualified to make another person a saint, just as an ignorant man does not issue certificate to the learned ones, and just as a wise man does not accept the praises of ignorant multitudes.
- Those who make people saints cannot see the spiritual nature, character and lives of people. They look at the outward appearances and take decisions based on human reasoning. But God looks at the heart, mind and spirit of people. For example, physically a house may be very good and beautiful; in spirit it may be full of demons and evil potencies.
- At times, religious leaders make individuals saint, just for the fun of it, to impress followers and to influence public conduct. They are busy deceiving themselves and misleading ignorant lasses.
